About Solar Panel Repair Tucson
Solar Panel Repair Tucson works on rooftop solar systems that are already installed on homes around Tucson and the rest of Pima County. We find out why a system is producing less than it should, fix or replace what failed, take panels down and put them back for roof work, keep pigeons out from under the array, clean dusty glass, and sort out batteries that are not behaving. We do not sell new systems, solar leases or loans.
We work on systems whose original installer is gone, unreachable or no longer services the brand that is on the roof. That situation is common, and it does not mean the system is a lost cause. Panels usually outlast the company that put them up.
How a job runs
- Start with the data. Before anyone climbs a ladder, we ask for your monitoring app login or screenshots, the make of your inverter and your recent TEP or Trico bills. That often narrows the problem down before the visit.
- Test on site. We check the inverter, the disconnects, the wiring and the panels, and look at the roof under and around the array.
- Price it in writing. You get an itemized quote that separates parts, labor, roof work and any permit or utility steps. If a part is still under the manufacturer's warranty, we tell you and help you file the claim.
- Do the paperwork. When a repair adds panels, changes an inverter or adds storage, the utility needs a new interconnection application, and the city or county may want a permit. We include those steps in the schedule.
- Show the result. After the work, we confirm the system is producing on your monitoring and walk you through what changed.
What we will tell you plainly
Sometimes the honest answer is that a repair costs more than it will earn back. If an older system with a failed string inverter and small, low-wattage panels is nearing the end of its life, we lay out the numbers so you can decide. If the problem is the roof itself, a leak that has nothing to do with the solar mounts, we say so and suggest you call a roofer.
